Earl Mitchell

Earl Mitchell is one of those multi-talented people who are drawn to many disciplines in life. Those have included Lobstering, farming, logging, carpentry, maple-sugaring, classic barn building, and all along, painting. His paintings often result from the experiences he has with those various activities. It is the passion and reverence for those crafts and activities that bring special qualities to Mitchell’s work.

Mitchell was born in Portland in 1948, attended Freeport Schools, as well as the Paier
School of Art. His work has been included in important invitational and juried exhibitions at many institutions, including The American Watercolor Society, the Farnsworth Museum and Maine Coast Artists
